The Best Child Home, 예수 성품 영재 학교는 기독교 교육을 바탕으로 하나님의 전능하심과 예수님의 사랑, 그리고 성령님의 도우심을 아이들에게 가르치는 학교입니다. 원장은 물론 모든 교사와 스태프가 크리스천으로 구성되어 있으며, 아이들이 예수님의 온화하고 겸손하며 배려 깊은 성품을 자연스럽게 배워가도록 교육하고 있습니다.
이러한 교육 환경 속에서 자라는 아이들은 정서적으로 안정되고, 친절하고 따뜻하며 배려심이 깊은 행복한 모습으로 성장하고 있습니다. 🌿
학교에는 1층에 3개의 교실이 있으며, 오전에는 12명의 프리스쿨 어린이와 3명의 교사가 함께 생활하고, 오후에는 애프터스쿨 학생들을 포함하여 약 10명의 아이들이 사용합니다. 교실 바닥에는 푹신한 매트가 깔려 있고, 모든 모서리를 둥글게 처리하여 아이들이 안전하게 생활할 수 있도록 세심하게 준비되어 있습니다. 또한 각 교실마다 공기청정기와 컴퓨터가 설치되어 있으며, 새롭고 유익한 다양한 교구들이 충분히 마련되어 있습니다.
학교 바로 앞에는 넓은 놀이터가 있어 아이들이 마음껏 뛰어놀 수 있으며, 학교를 ㄱ자 형태로 둘러싼 정원에는 아름다운 꽃들과 채소들이 자라고 있어 아이들이 자연과 친밀하게 교감할 수 있는 환경이 조성되어 있습니다.
본교의 아이들은 다양한 교구를 활용한 놀이 중심 학습을 통해 쉽고 자연스럽게 배움을 익혀 가고 있으며, 주변에서도 영재라는 평가를 자주 받을 만큼 뛰어난 성장을 보이고 있습니다.
킨더가든에 입학하기 전 대부분의 아이들은 영어로 자연스럽게 의사소통할 뿐 아니라, 초등학교 2학년 수준의 영어 책을 무리 없이 읽습니다. 또한 한국어 책도 능숙하게 읽고 한글 쓰기도 잘합니다.
수학 영역에서는 받아올림이 있는 한 자리 덧셈을 암산으로 해결할 수 있으며, 받아올림과 받아내림이 포함된 네 자리 수의 덧셈과 뺄셈도 정확하고 빠르게 계산할 수 있습니다. 또한 2단, 4단, 5단, 10단의 구구단도 능숙하게 익히고 있습니다.
오후 프로그램을 통해서는 다양한 장르의 댄스, 노래 부르기, 악기 연주, Craft & Art, Science 활동, 종이접기, 줄넘기, 훌라후프, 공놀이 등 폭넓은 영역에서 고르게 우수한 실력을 키워 가고 있습니다.

About The Best Child Home, Jesus Character Gifted School
The Best Child Home, Jesus Character Gifted School is a Christian school dedicated to teaching children about God’s almighty power, the love of Jesus Christ, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Our director, teachers, and staff are all Christians who lovingly help children grow in the gentle, humble, and caring character of Jesus.
Children who grow in this nurturing environment become emotionally secure, kind, warm-hearted, and considerate individuals who enjoy learning and living happily. 🌿
Our school includes three classrooms on the first floor. In the morning, 12 preschool students learn together with three teachers, and in the afternoon, about 10 children—including after-school students—use the classrooms. The floors are covered with soft safety mats, and all corners are carefully rounded to ensure a safe environment. Each classroom is also equipped with an air purifier, a computer, and a wide variety of new and educational learning materials.
Directly in front of the school is a spacious playground where children can run and play freely. Surrounding the school is an L-shaped garden filled with beautiful flowers and vegetables, providing children with opportunities to interact closely with nature. 🌸
At our school, children learn naturally and joyfully through hands-on, play-based learning using a variety of educational materials. As a result, they demonstrate remarkable growth and are often recognized by others as gifted learners.
Before entering kindergarten, most students are able to communicate comfortably in English and read English books at approximately a second-grade level. They are also able to read Korean books fluently and write Korean with confidence. 📚
In mathematics, students can mentally solve single-digit addition with carrying and accurately complete four-digit addition and subtraction with regrouping. They also become comfortable with multiplication tables such as the 2s, 4s, 5s, and 10s.
Through our afternoon enrichment programs, students further develop their abilities across many areas, including dance, singing, musical instruments, crafts and art, science activities, origami, jump rope, hula hoop, and ball play. These experiences support balanced growth in creativity, expression, and physical development. 🎶🎨⚽

Afterschool 프로그램 소개
The Best Child Home, 예수 성품 영재 학교의 Afterschool 프로그램은 본교 프리스쿨을 졸업한 후 공립 및 사립 킨더가튼에 진학한 졸업생 학부모님들의 요청으로 시작되었습니다.
본교 프리스쿨 졸업생들은 영어와 한국어 모두에서 말하기, 듣기, 읽기, 쓰기 능력이 매우 뛰어나고 자연스러운 수준에 도달해 있으며, 수학 실력 또한 전반적으로 1학년 수준을 넘어 영역에 따라 2학년 수준까지 발전한 경우가 많습니다.
그러나 졸업생들이 킨더가튼에 진학한 이후, 학교 수업 내용이 비교적 쉬운 편이고 또래 학생들과의 학습 수준 차이가 있다는 점을 학부모님들께서 느끼시게 되었습니다. 이에 따라 자녀들의 우수한 학습 능력이 계속해서 발전할 수 있도록 돕는 심화 교육 과정이 필요하다는 요청이 이어졌고, 그 결과 Afterschool 프로그램이 개설되었습니다.
현재 졸업생들은 주 2~3회 방과 후 프로그램에 참여하고 있으며, 졸업생들의 소개를 통해 새롭게 참여하는 학생들도 함께 공부하고 있습니다.
Afterschool Program
The Afterschool Program at The Best Child Home, Jesus Character Gifted School was established at the request of parents whose children graduated from our preschool and later enrolled in public or private kindergarten programs.
Our preschool graduates typically demonstrate strong and natural abilities in both English and Korean across speaking, listening, reading, and writing. In mathematics, their skills generally exceed first-grade expectations, and in many areas they reach second-grade level proficiency.
After entering kindergarten, many parents observed that the classroom instruction their children received was relatively easy for them and that there was a noticeable difference between their children’s learning levels and those of their classmates. As a result, parents expressed a desire for their children’s advanced academic abilities to continue developing through enriched learning opportunities. In response to these requests, our Afterschool Program was created.
Currently, many of our graduates attend the program two to three times per week after school. In addition, several new students have joined through recommendations from our graduates’ families.
원 장 소 개
The Best Child Home, 예수 성품 영재 학교의 원장은 서울교육대학교를 졸업한 후, 서울 지역 공립 초등학교에서 17년 3개월 동안 교사로 재직하며 수업연구부장, 교육과정부장, 교육정보부장 등을 역임하였습니다.
원장은 교육에 대한 깊은 열정과 아이들에 대한 특별한 사랑을 바탕으로 항상 기쁨과 헌신의 마음으로 수업 연구와 생활 지도 방법을 꾸준히 발전시켜 온 교육자입니다. 이러한 전문성과 역량을 인정받아 20대 후반의 나이에 ‘최연소 교생 지도 교사’로 2년간 활동하였으며, EBS 교육방송 교사 모니터 요원으로 1년간 우수한 활동을 수행하여 교육부 장관상을 수상하였습니다.
또한 회화 중심의 초등학교 3학년 영어 레슨 플랜 1년 과정 공모전에서 전국 1등급을 수상하였고, 클래스 내의 전 학생의 완전학습을 목표로 한 초등학교 1학년 1학기 수학 레슨 플랜 공모전에서도 전국 2등급을 수상한 바 있습니다. 📚
미국에 온 이후에는 Early Childhood Education 과정을 새롭게 수료하였으며, 신학 석사 과정을 마쳤고, 현재는 기독교 교육학 박사 과정을 공부 중입니다.
또한 The Best Child Home, 예수 성품 영재 학교를 설립하기 전에는 초등학생부터 고등학생까지 한국어와 수학을 지도하는 개인 교사로 활동하였으며, 얼바인 지역 교회에서 14년 동안 유아·유치부 전도사로 섬겼습니다. 현재는 오렌지카운티 지역 교회의 한글학교 교사와 함께 The Best Child Home, 예수 성품 영재 학교의 원장으로 사역하고 있습니다. 🌿
원장은 아이들과의 수업과 활동에서 영어와 한국어를 균형 있게 사용하며, 두 언어를 자연스럽게 익힐 수 있도록 지도하고 있습니다.
The Director of The Best Child Home, Jesus Character Gifted School graduated from Seoul National University of Education and served as an elementary school teacher in public schools in Seoul for 17 years and 3 months. During that time, she held leadership roles including Head of Instructional Research, Head of Curriculum, and Head of Educational Information Services.
With a deep passion for education and a special love for children, she has continually devoted herself to developing effective teaching methods and student guidance with joy and dedication. In recognition of her professional excellence, she served for two years as the youngest supervising teacher for student teachers in her district. She was also selected as a teacher monitor for EBS (Korea Educational Broadcasting System) and received the Minister of Education Award for her outstanding service.
In addition, she received national first-level recognition in a nationwide competition for a year-long conversational English lesson plan for third-grade students, and national second-level recognition in a competition for a first-grade mathematics lesson plan designed to support complete learning for all students in the classroom. 📚
After coming to the United States, she completed coursework in Early Childhood Education, earned a Master’s degree in Theology, and is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Christian Education.
Before establishing The Best Child Home, Jesus Character Gifted School, she worked as a private instructor teaching Korean and mathematics to students from elementary through high school, and she served for 14 years as a Children’s Ministry pastor (Preschool and Kindergarten Department) at a church in Irvine. She currently serves as both a Korean School teacher at a church in Orange County and the Director of The Best Child Home, Jesus Character Gifted School. 🌿
During classroom instruction and activities, the Director uses both English and Korean in a balanced way, helping children develop bilingual skills naturally and confidently.

E Teacher
E Teacher는 한국의 4년제 대학에서 피아노를 전공하였으며, 미국에 온 이후에는 회계학을 추가로 공부하고 있습니다. 현재 오렌지카운티의 대형 한인교회에서 피아노 반주자로 섬기고 있으며, 피아노 개인 레슨과 토요 한국학교 교사로도 오랫동안 활동하고 있습니다.
본교에서는 5년 이상 근무하며 아이들이 예수님의 성품을 자연스럽게 배우고 실천할 수 있도록 사랑과 친절로 지도하고 있습니다. 또한 항상 밝은 미소로 아이들과 함께하며 따뜻하고 긍정적인 분위기를 만들어 주는 교사입니다. 수업과 활동은 영어로 진행합니다.
E Teacher majored in Piano at a four-year university in Korea and is currently studying Accounting at a college in the United States. She serves as a piano accompanist at a large Korean church in Orange County, gives private piano lessons, and has many years of experience teaching at a Saturday Korean School.
She has been working at our school for over five years, guiding children to grow in Christ-like character through her own example of kindness and love. She brings warmth and joy to the classroom with her constant smile and positive energy. All classroom activities are conducted in English.
G Teacher
G Teacher는 한국의 4년제 대학에서 특수교육(Special Education)을 전공하였으며, 현재 미국에서 교회를 개척한 남편과 함께 사모로서 사역에 참여하고 있습니다.
차분하고 배려 깊은 성품과 따뜻한 사랑으로 아이들이 마치 엄마와 같은 안정감을 느낄 수 있도록 돕는 교사입니다. 수업과 활동에서는 영어와 한국어를 균형 있게 사용하여 아이들이 두 언어를 자연스럽게 익힐 수 있도록 지도하고 있습니다.
G Teacher majored in Special Education at a four-year university in Korea. She is currently serving in ministry alongside her husband, who planted a church in the United States.
With her calm, thoughtful, and loving personality, she creates a nurturing environment where children feel the warmth and security of a mother’s care. She uses both English and Korean in a balanced way during classroom activities to support children’s bilingual development.
S Teacher
S Teacher는 한국의 4년제 대학에서 한국무용을 전공하고 발레를 부전공하였으며, 미국에 온 이후에도 대학에서 추가로 학업을 이어갔습니다. 현재 세 자녀의 어머니로서 가정과 교육 현장을 함께 섬기며 본교에서 아이들을 지도하고 있습니다.
S 교사는 오후 프로그램에서 종이접기, 크래프트, 플레이도우, 한국무용, 발레, 음악 등 다양한 활동을 지도하고 있습니다. 그녀는 다양한 재능을 갖춘 교사로서 예수님의 사랑을 아이들에게 아낌없이 전하며, 학생들에게 특히 많은 사랑을 받고 있습니다. 또한 모든 수업과 활동은 영어로 진행합니다. 🎨🎶✨
S Teacher majored in Korean Dance and minored in Ballet at a four-year university in Korea, and she continued her studies after coming to the United States. As a mother of three, she faithfully serves both her family and our school community.
She leads many of the afternoon enrichment activities, including origami, crafts, playdough, Korean dance, ballet, and music. She is a multi-talented teacher who shares the love of Jesus generously with the children and is especially loved by her students. All classroom activities are conducted in English.
